The Velove Armadillo cargo bike combines qualities from the velomobile and cargo bike world, and also adds some new dimensions. The aim is to make a bike that can replace as many relatively short car/delivery van trips as possible by providing driving pleasure, comfort and cargo capacity, in any weather.
Three prototypes have been built and thoroughly tested in real-life
conditions between 2012 and 2015. The third prototype was built in

Velove has just started production of a batch of 10 pre-series bikes, that will all be used in a mobility project in Gothenburg, Sweden. Some of these bikes will have weather protection for both rider and passenger/goods.
The plan is to officially launch the cargo version of the bike, without
weather protection, on the International Cargo Bike Festival in Nijmegen in April:
